On October 3 Walmart held a grand re-opening of its South Surrey, B.C. store, showcasing a modern redesign. The redesign is part of a $6.5-billion, five year investment that the retailer said would be allocated to opening dozens of stores, a new Ontario distribution centre and redesigning older stores.
The location has been refreshed with updated lighting, signage, and an improved store layout, making it easier for shoppers to navigate. This modern update includes a new hot kitchen, online order pick up and a large produce section.
